Dr. Margherita Pucino holds a PhD in chemistry from ETH Zurich, she is an environmental consultant dedicated to tackling plastic pollution. Specializing in sustainability strategies and science communication, she brings a wealth of experience as a science educator in Sub-Saharan Africa context through her work with SeedScience and National Geographic.
With Earth Action, she has developed expertise in life cycle assessment and corporate carbon footprints and has worked on plastic pollution assessment and monitoring and evaluation frameworks for organizations like UNEP, IUCN, and WWF. Currently, she focuses on plastic pollution projects in Latin America, Africa and Asia with the Global Plastic Action Partnership (GPAP). Margherita is passionate about bridging the gap between scientific research and practical solutions, striving to foster collaboration and innovation in sustainability efforts.
