Andy is a waste management and circular economy specialist with over 30 years’ of experience in 50 countries worldwide. His core expertise is in policy, strategy and planning, and preparation and implementation of development programmes.
He has an international reputation as an innovator in the design and implementation of pragmatic approaches to transition from linear to circular economy, leading numerous teams preparing strategies, programmes, feasibility studies, and financing applications.
Andy has worked for many international financing institutions (World Bank, UN-Habitat, UNEP FI, EBRD, GIZ, WWF, European Commission, etc.). He is the author of reference papers published in internationally recognised journals, including on ocean plastic pollution and its associated costs. “The nine development bands: A conceptual framework and global theory for waste and development” is Andy’s latest contribution to the WaRM sector, co-authored with David C. Wilson and Mike Webster.
Andy is Managing Director and a founding partner of the Resources and Waste Advisory Group.
